Kentucky New Year's DUI Statistics

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reported the following DUI statistics over the 3-day holiday from Friday night, December 29, 2006 to early New Year's Day:

  • Total of 14 DUI arrests.
  • Over a 160 DUI related citations.

The Daily Breakdown follows:

  • Friday
    • 6 DUI Arrests
    • 61 Citations Issued
    • 4 Accidents
  • Saturday
    • 6 DUI Arrests
    • 60 Citations Issued
    • 5 Accidents
  • Sunday
    • 2 DUI Arrests
    • 42 Citations
    • 4 Accidents 

KSP indicated the numbers were lower than in previous years which may have been due to the fact that New Year's fell on a Sunday.
